Sustainability Matters to Gibson Dunn

Sustainability is part of our firm’s business strategy. We have a written sustainability policy, including written policies specifically for Employee Community and FlexCommuting, Paper, Recycling and Waste, Volunteerism/Community Programs &Pro Bono.
Efforts
Overview
[Firm-Wide]: On an office-by-office basis, our firm has developed climate-related initiatives tailored to each office’s regional priorities. These include programs include in-office composting and recycling, transition to paperless processes, elimination of single-use products, locally sourcing materials, carpooling and mass transit initiatives, and community service activities.”
Volunteerism/Community Programs & Pro Bono, including charitable donations, are a major part of the Firm’s culture and values globally.
We are actively working to develop an incentive plan which aligns with our climate-related ambitions, and plan to announce such plans within the next 24 months.
Certifications
Over 50% of Gibson Offices have LEED or similar (BREEAM, HQE) sustainability certifications
Recognition
We have participated in the ALISS (All Legal IndustrySustainability Standard) Assessment twice, once in 2022 and another in 2023. We currently hold the Bronze Award for our recent 2023 submission. [and are continuously striving for higher and better sustainability goals?]
